Minister of trade, industry, and cooperatives Amelia Anne Kyambade has advised Ugandan traders to take advantage of the coronavirus to become innovative.
She said that traders have been going to china spending money in hotels and air tickets, it’s time to start trading and ordering goods online using their own phones.
She says everything is available online, therefore they can make orders and items will arrive.
She also adds that it’s also an opportunity for Ugandans to become innovative, noting that some people are complaining that sanitizers are not enough, yet people can just look for the formulas used to make it, just like they make soaps and other products.
She explains instead of going abroad to bring fertilizers, innovative Ugandans can use the damped rubbish covers for Matoke and pineapples to make fertilizers which are very fertile for farming.
She says let the corona situation be turned into opportunities.
She says traders should stop thinking that they cannot survive withoutchina or Dubai they can take some of their goods to the Congo border or South Sudan.
