Ugandans today received news of renowned pastor Joseph Kabuleta announcing his intensions to stand for presidency in the forthcoming 2021 elections.
Addressing a press conference in Kampala today, Kabuleta said, his main intention to stand for presidency is to liberate Ugandans from the financial crisis they are living in.
Kabuleta, who is leading the new political movement dubbed ROCK, with his symbol of two hands holding each other said he stands for reclaiming Uganda with Purple as his colour.
Kabuleta also confirmed that he will not join other political forces of change in the country claiming that they lack the ideology to take Uganda forward.
Kabuleta confirmed that he has already written to the electoral commission expressing his interest to run as president. He also expressed readiness to carry out nationwide consultations ahead of elections in February 2021.
The announcement by Kabuleta now drives the number of presidential aspirants to 24.
