Uganda confirms 1st case of COVID-19.

The confirmed case is a 36 year old Ugandan male who arrived from Dubai at 2:00am on Saturday 21 March 2020 aboard Ethiopian airlines. He presented with symptoms of high fever and poor appetite.
He was evacuated to Entebbe grade b Hospital, his nasal swap was extracted and sent to Uganda Virus Institute for analysis and the results tested positive.
He is a resident of Kibuli Kakungulu, and currently at Entebbe Grade B, Hospital.
Minister Aceng said the passenger manifest has been retrieved, and contacts of people who traveled with him are going to be followed up to ascertain their status. Health Minister Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng said it will be easy to acces the passengers who traveled on the plane since all are under quarantine.
The public has been called to remain calm but vigilant and to report any news of suspected cases to authorities.
