Police in Kajjansi has arrested two people on allegations of bribing a police officer.
Kampala metropolitan deputy police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire says the suspects identified as Walugembe Richard and Baale Remegio are currently detained at Kajjansi Police Station.
According to the investigating officer, who is at the same time the victim in this crime, Kajansi Police Station impounded a motor vehicle registration number UAT 924D, which was allegedly robbing members of the public and investigations were ongoing into the matter.
The two suspects decided to bribe the police officer to release it and they were caught in action while handing over bribe to the police officer.
“We want to thank our officer for being professional and for reporting such an act,” Owoyesigire says adding that investigations into the matter are still ongoing.
