The think tank’s objectives include analyzing the environment for opportunities and threats, evaluating strengths and weaknesses, and providing insights into policy and budget priorities. The think tank will also mobilize resources, propose strategies for private sector development, and strengthen partnerships with neighboring districts, regions, and countries.

The inaugural meeting, scheduled for the end of the year, will seek to gain consensus on the need for a think tank, review and approve its objectives, elect an interim executive committee, and review and approve an action plan. The meeting will also address financing mechanisms and discuss other matters to expedite the setup of the think tank secretariat.

Hon. Dr. George Didi Bhoka has called for volunteers to support the think tank agenda, urging stakeholders to step forward and contribute to the development of Obongi. The think tank is expected to be crucial in shaping the district’s development path, and the community eagerly anticipates its success.
