No More Construction Of Industries In Wetlands. Anywar

Ministry of water and environment has banned the construction of industries in wetlands with the ban to be fully be enforced by not issuing any license to the industries wanting to construct in wetlands .
Beatrice Atim Anywar state minister of environment while briefing media at media center today about the cabinet decisions of yesterday said as cabinet they decided starting today all encroachers who illegally grabbed urban wetlands should voluntarily vacate the wetlands or be evicted.
Anywar adds that all titles illegally issued in wetlands and forest reserves must be cancelled by ministry of lands,housing and urban development and the people who issued them prosecuted.
Meanwhile Anywar says encroachers in rural wetlands will be mobilised and re organised to engage into alternative sustainable wetland utilisation models and as so all growing of rice and other crops in wetlands is also banned.
