Since the first big screen appearance of the bear of little brain in Winnie The Pooh And The Honey Tree back in 1966, the residents of Hundred Acre Wood have been established favourites with families around the world. Christopher Robin moves their story on. He’s left his favourite toys behind, grown up and is now married with a daughter of his own. But he’s also a slave to his job and it threatens his family life, as well as his own happiness, so it’s down to Pooh and his friends to help put some joy back in his life.

Director Marc Forster (Quantum Of Solace, World War Z, Stranger Than Fiction) brings a new vision to the screen, one where the worn fur on the CGI toys shows how loved they are. The loveable band appear alongside Ewan McGregor, who plays Christopher Robin, Hayley Atwell and Mark Gatiss. The voices of Pooh and Tigger are provided by the legendary Jim Cummings, while Peter Capaldi, Toby Jones and Sophie Okenado voice some of the other animals.

THN sat down with director Marc Forster, Hayley Atwell who plays Christopher Robin’s wife and Jim Cummings, the voice of both Pooh and Tigger for over 30 years, to talk about the film when they were in town for its European premiere.
