Entebbe Police are holding a man for illegal gun possession.

The suspect is Denis Tumukunde. He was picked up over the weekend from Kasenyi landing site in Katabi town council about 20 kilometers from Nkumba University.

He was found in possession of a gun, 10 rounds of live ammunition, an army uniform, petrol and machetes. He was also found with a United Nations identity card believed to be forged.

Ritah Nakidde, one of the residents told URN that Tumukunde has been involved in several cases of theft at the landing site prompting the local authorities to discipline him in the past.

Ernest Akhankiriho, the Officer in Charge of Kasenyi Police Post, says the suspect will be charge with illegal possession of a firearm and theft.

Akhankiriho has been sensitizing youths on the landsite for the past two months not to engage in criminality.
