Deputy Speaker Jacob Oulanyah asks accountability Committees to focus queries on grand government expenditure.
Oulanyah says this will address backlogs and deliver tangible results.
“The problem is that the Committees want to interrogate every query. Is is possible for Parliament Committees to set the threshold of the queries they want to deal with?” said Oulanyah.
He opened the annual Accountability Sector review meeting in Munyonyo earlier today.
Oulanyah was hosted by Finance State Minister David Bahati, Deputy Inspector General of Government George Bamugemereire, Director of Public Prosecutions Mike Chibita and a host of government officials.
