Christians have rejected the proposed law intended to regulate the operations of faith based organizations in Uganda.

The Religious and Faith-Based Organizations (RFBO) policy is being fronted bt the the Directorate of Ethics and integrity was recently rejected by President Yoweri Museveni because it had loopholes but is being re designed by a team headed by rev Simon Lokodo.

David Bahati the state minister for Finance says they are yet to conclude on some amendments in the proposed law before re introducing it to Cabinet.

The Religious and Faith-Based Organizations policy whose objective has being described by a number of believers as witch hunting certain sections of christian faith is being opposed on grounds that it is intended to oppress and suppress Christians and other religions against freedoms to worship.

The proposal has been sent to the inter religious council of Uganda for an input before it is re tabled in cabinet.
