Singer and presidential adviser on Kampala affairs Catherine Kusasira has apologized to Ugandans for seeking compensation for her canceled music concerts amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
President Yoweri Museveni on Wednesday passed a directive suspending schools, bars, and music concerts, religious and political gatherings among others as a stringent measure to control the spread of the pandemic in Uganda.
Kusasira who had organized two Easter music shows while appearing on a local television yesterday called for government’s rescue saying she and other fellow artists were counting losses.
Using her official Facebook page, the singer has now come out and issued an apology for her statement after realizing that the entire country is in distress because of the effects of COVID-19.
“It was an error of judgment on my part and I regret it,” she said
