Minister of Health, Hon. Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng with a team from Ministry of Health and WHO held a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Uganda, Mr. Zheng ZhuQiang and his team to discuss the 2019 Novel Coronavirus epidemic.
According to information from its official FB page ,the Key outcomes from the meeting Ministry of Health will be screening all travellers since the virus has spread to many other countries but travellers from China will be isolated for 14 days for follow up.
The Ambassador reassured the teams that the Chinese nationals have been cautioned to be disciplined and follow the health measures.
The Ugandan business community travelling back from China is urged to adhere to our strict rules of isolation to ensure the country is safe
Always wash hands at all times with soap and water and report any suspected cases to nearest health facility.
Yesterday, I had an interaction with the Chinese Ambassador to Uganda, Mr. Zheng ZhuQiang to discuss the 2019 Novel Coronavirus epidemic and how to support one another to ensure that the citizens of Uganda are protected from this outbreak. A statment from the minister reads.
