The EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games yesterday delivered a vibrant day of action across volleyball and basketball, with Rwanda, Kenya, and Uganda each claiming key victories in their respective fixtures.
Rwanda posted a commanding 3–0 win over the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) in volleyball fixture at the regional games.
The Rwandan side dominated from start to finish, taking Set 1 25–11, controlling Set 2 with a 25–13 victory, and sealing the match with another strong 25–11 in Set 3.

Rwanda displayed speed and superior teamwork. EALA, though spirited, struggled to match Rwanda’s tempo across all sets.
In the women’s volleyball encounter, Kenya overcame Rwanda 3–1 in a highly competitive showdown at the EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games.

- Set 1: Kenya 16 – Rwanda 25
- Set 2: Kenya 25 – Rwanda 20
- Set 3: Kenya 25 – Rwanda 14
- Set 4: Kenya 25 – Rwanda 22
Rwanda started strong, claiming the first set, but Kenya regrouped impressively and controlled the remaining three sets to secure victory.
Men’s Basketball: Uganda Defeats Kenya 48–34
Uganda delivered a solid performance in the men’s basketball match, defeating Kenya 48–34 in a thrilling encounter played at Lugogo.
The win adds momentum to Uganda’s campaign as the EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games continue.
