Koboko District Hit By Water Shortage

Koboko district has been hit by water shortage and locals are calling on government to intervene.
Koboko north mp Elias Asiku says that one of the important health centre with maternity ward has run out of water and this has put the lives of mothers and babies at risk.
Koboko district chairperson Hassan Nyinya points out that the situation of water shortage has been worsened by the influx of refugees in the areas who are now competing the few boreholes with the locals and as such mounting a lot of pressure.
The locals narrate their experience as they now have to trek long distances which is putting the lives especially of women and girls at risk.
