Members of Parliament are insisting that as the schools plan to open next week the ministry of education should halt its decision of closing schools that do not meet the minimum education standards.
Buyaga east mp, Eric Musana says that this will leave out many children not going to schools since in many sub counties throughout the country there are no public schools.
Musana says that the ministry of education needs to look at individual schools, seat with proprietors and help them to do the needful.
This follows the ministry of education permanent secretary Alex Kakoza circular issued on January 16. to Kampala capital city Authority, districts, municipalities and town councils not to allow un licensed private schools to open for first term that opens next week.
