The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Parliamentary Caucus meeting at State House Entebbe on Friday, March 7, 2025, resolved to support the 10 pivotal budget priorities for the FY2025/25 to drive Uganda’s continuous development agenda.
The Government Chief Whip, Denis Hamson Obua, who is also the Chairperson of the Caucus, briefed the media at Parliament on the outcome of the meeting that received a keynote address from H.E. President Yoweri Museveni, the National Chairman of the ruling party.
The ten key budget priorities include: maintaining security, enhancing human capital development, promoting wealth creation through initiatives like PDM, Emyooga and UDB, improving infrastructure, strengthening regional integration, expanding irrigation for agricultural stability, fostering industrialization, combating corruption, protecting the environment, and advancing economic integration.
