Health Ministry Starts Pre Travel Covid-19 Testing For Migrant Workers

The ministry of health spokesperson Emmanuel Ainebyona reveals that govt has started conducting covid19 pre-travel testing on all migrant workers.
The compulsory testing follows continued reports of Ugandan external labor workers testing positive upon arrival.
Ainebyona further states that no Ugandan traveling to the middle east to work will be allowed to exist at the airport without the PCR result from the government.
However, the Executive Director of Uganda’s external recruitment agency Enid Nambuya thanked the government for the package which is free of service saying it will go a long way to help their members take negative migrant workers.
Since the start of the exercise yesterday, over 300 Ugandan migrant workers have been tested with only one testing positive.
Now the health ministry maintains that all large groups of Ugandans traveling out of the country to either represent the country or for other duties will have to undergo this covid19 pre-travel testing.
