A total of 593 students from the Mulago based Uganda Institute of allied health and management sciences have graduated and are now set to join the challenging world of work and called upon to ensure they desist from acts of corruption and abuse of their professional ethics.
The call has been made by the state minister for higher education Dr.J.C Muyingo while officiating at their 13th graduation ceremony that was held at the old Mulago hospital playgrounds who urged them to ensure they remain professional and God fearing because that is the source of wisdom.
While responding to the challenges the Institution was faced with as mentioned by the facility board governing council chairman Charles Twinomugisha including lack of adequate transport for the students field visits, Muyingo concurred with him saying the ministry would effectively look into that crucial request because the students population does most of their course work among communities which needs a bus to meet that challenge.
The minister revealed that the government would soon begin the much-anticipated business technical education and vocational training [BTEVT] University where all graduating students would be awarded degrees as recognition of their outstanding journey of excelling to greater medical professional horizons.
The Institute principal Nasaali Rose Gumisiriza urged the outgoing team to respect their clients and ensure honesty and integrity becomes part of their professional lifestyles as opposed to indulging in acts of corruption and abuse of their professional ethics which would dent their future credibility status.
